Service Description

PLEASE NOTE: Saturday & Sunday is ONLY for consultation call and assessment booking. Tutoring is available on the weekends. Packages from at 6, 8, or 12 one-hour sessions per month. Our services are designed to build strong foundational skills in phonics, spelling rules and tools for grammar, spelling, writing, and reading comprehension. Here’s a detailed breakdown by grade level: Kindergarten: Letter-Sound Mastery: Students will become proficient in recognizing and articulating the distinct sounds of consonants and vowels. Phonemic Awareness: Through engaging exercises, students will sharpen their phonemic awareness skills, including blending, segmenting, and manipulating sounds in words. Sight Word Recognition: Introduction to high-frequency sight words, enabling students to recognize and read common words quickly. First Grade: Decoding Skills: Students will excel in decoding words, recognizing phonetic patterns, and using this knowledge to read unfamiliar words with confidence. Reading Fluency: Guided reading sessions to practice reading aloud with expression and precision. Basic Writing: Introduction to writing simple sentences, reinforcing phonics and spelling rules. Second Grade: Reading Comprehension: Focus on understanding and interpreting simple texts, enhancing both fluency and comprehension. Spelling Proficiency: Students will apply their phonics knowledge to spell words accurately, using phonetic principles. Creative Writing: Opportunities to write short stories, applying phonics knowledge and developing sentence structure. Third Grade: Advanced Decoding: Building on previous skills to tackle more complex phonetic patterns and multisyllabic words. Writing Skills: Development of more detailed writing pieces, including paragraphs and simple essays. Fourth Grade: Comprehension Enhancement: Strategies for understanding and interpreting various types of texts, including fiction and non-fiction. Vocabulary Enrichment: Activities to expand vocabulary, empowering students to use new words in reading and writing. Writing Proficiency: More complex writing tasks, such as reports and narratives, advanced spelling and vocabulary.
