FAQ

Tutoring

What is the role of a tutor?

The role of a tutor is to provide additional assistance to students with not only coursework but strategies to help for their future. Tutors are not course instructors. They are not substitutes for attending class and they are not responsible for teaching the course material. Rather, tutors are available to help students clarify course content and develop effective ways to learn the material. Tutors also provide learning resources and study strategies that students can utilize.

How much improvement can I expect from working with a tutor?

It all depends on your child's starting score, goals, and the amount of effort put in. Applying hard work, consistency, and practice to reaching goals with and without your tutor. We can together achieve success.

How does Teach Inspire Transform determine what my child needs?

Prior to booking a session, Teach Inspire Transform will meet with your child to assess their current academics. Parents will be provided with a report at the end of the assessment which breaks down their child's strengths and areas in need of growth.

How can tutoring help my child build confidence?
Teach Inspire Transform tutors understand that lack of self-confidence hinders our capability to grow. We cultivate inspiration not motivation. Motivation is work. Inspiration comes from within. A yarning to learn, which then open capabilities and builds confidence.
Do you offer online tutoring?

Yes, we do! In the midst of COVID-19, we had to gain a new avenue. Found sessions to be just as effective as ever! This is often a great option for busy students or those who aren't able to physically meet with us.

Does Teach Inspire Transform work with my child's school or teachers?

Yes, with your permission. We will reach out to the student’s teachers to communicate. Giving insight into the child’s learning challenges or areas where the student can go further.

What subjects do you offer tutoring in?

We offer tutoring in many subjects. Our most needed subjects are English, Reading, Reading Comprehension, and Math.
